JOB DESCRIPTION: Strategic Account Manager is responsible for Business in the identified Strategic and major accounts and develop and establish major account relationships with strategic customers & prospects of SOLIDWORKS in his/her territory. Reporting to the Sales Manager, it is the SAM’s responsibility to ensure that customers/prospects receive the benefits of a SOLIDWORKS total solution and services.

The responsibilities include:

  • Expand the Strategic account business – nurture existing large accounts / identifying new prospects for large accounts.
  • Large Account mapping & penetration using interpersonal and communication skills
  • Communicate effectively and develop relationships at various levels from engineering managers, department heads to CXOs.
  • Due diligence in providing Account management data: accurate forecasting, account management documentation, and activity reports to management providing basis for strategic account planning.
  • Identify, evaluate and respond to key business issues of the account and develop, present and demonstrate SOLIDWORKS capabilities to the customer working closely with available technical resources. Align customer needs to fit our solutions.
  • Communicate effectively in implementing SOLIDWORKS account sales strategies appropriately and adhering to the sales process and implementation plan devised by the management.
  • Implementing activities and initiatives in line with specific vision and strategic objectives for our CAD/CAE business.
  • Achieve quota and strategic goals as outlined in the objectives set.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years of Sales experience primarily in direct sales. Experience of handling large accounts in government & commercial segment will be preferred.

EDUCATION: Hold Bachelor of Engineering Degree (preferably in Mechanical field)

REQUIREMENTS: Consistent track record of successful direct sales and customer engagement shown by over goal performance with around 5 years’ sales experience selling technology products into the product design and manufacturing sector. Must have strong technical and business vision with excellent presentation and communication skills. Must have decent experience selling to Government and Private companies, preferably in Manufacturing domain. Must be fluent in reading and writing English. Regional language knowledge is a plus. Strong knowledge of the MCAD industry is very much desired and actual design work experience with CAD and/or solid modelling is a definite advantage. Experience with SOLIDWORKS and/or other MCAD / CAE products a strong plus. In addition, the candidate will also possess the ability to function in a team atmosphere, appreciate aggressive goals, and have superior organizational/time management skills and a make-it-happen attitude. Willingness to travel on short / long periods is a must; mostly in the assigned territory.
